
Laura Foglia
Laura has extensive experience in hydrological modeling, groundwater management, and managed aquifer recharge. Laura specializes in leading groundwater services for various agencies, developing and implementing Groundwater Sustainability Plans, and designing groundwater recharge projects. She has led projects for the Ukiah Basin Groundwater Sustainability Agency, Siskiyou County, and the Sierra Vally Groundwater Management District.
Her primary work efforts have focused on advancing groundwater management and recharge strategies across California. Laura’s cutting-edge work is redefining approaches to sustainable groundwater management through innovative modeling and recharge projects. She has played an integral role in designing and implementing groundwater recharge projects for several water districts, including the Omochumne-Hartnell Water District and the Scott Valley Irrigation District.
Laura is also an adjunct faculty member at the University of California, Davis, where she teaches graduate-level courses on groundwater models and model calibration. Her expertise in hydrological modeling and groundwater management make her a valuable advisor for addressing complex water resource challenges. Laura has a Doctorate of Environmental Engineering from ETH Zurich.
