Betsy Elzufon
Betsy has over 30 years of experience in chemical engineering, industrial processes, regulatory assistance, and pollution prevention. Betsy specializes in coordinating wastewater permit renewals for discharges to surface water (NPDES) and land (WDRs), and permit implementation efforts for clients throughout California. She has extensive experience in developing Groundwater Sustainability Plans and assisting with their implementation, including groundwater recharge programs and project management.
Her primary work efforts have focused on providing regulatory assistance across various water-related sectors. Betsy’s work is redefining approaches to water management through her involvement in diverse areas such as water recycling permits, pollution prevention programs, and pretreatment program evaluations. She has played an integral role in managing national studies on source control and program effectiveness measurement for prominent water research organizations.
Betsy’s expertise in regulatory compliance, pollution prevention, and water management make her a valuable advisor for addressing complex environmental challenges. Betsy has a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley and a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University.
