Larry Walker Associates is looking for a new Business Team member for our headquarters in Davis, California. LWA’s dynamic Business Team includes operations, finance, human resources, and marketing and design, with team members performing activities across the various business functions. As part of the Team, your primary role will be to perform critical operational functions, with opportunities to support finance, marketing/design, and HR.
The Position
LWA Business Team members have the opportunity to select the job title they believe best reflects the position. In the past, this position was titled Office Services Coordinator. The position can be full-time, in-person, 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday, or part-time (20-30 hours per week), Monday to Friday.

What you will be doing
Front Desk Duties
- Greet clients, staff, and vendors on the phone and reception desk with a positive, helpful attitude
- Open, sort, and distribute incoming emails, mail, and other correspondence
- Handle requests from the Davis Office Manager, the Executive Vice President, and staff
- Manage and maintain office equipment and services (e.g., copiers)
- Organize and maintain office common areas
- Order supplies requested by staff
Operations Support
- Support company meetings and event planning (workshops, lunch events, office celebrations, etc.)
- Schedule travel and handle rental car reservations
- Provide back-up and support to other members of the Business Team
Finance Support
- Assist Finance Team members with preparing and sending invoice packages
- Assist Finance Team with accounts receivable and accounts payable mailbox management
Marketing and Design Support
- Assist Marketing Operations Coordinator and technical staff with report and proposal development and production
Human Resources Support
- Provide as-needed administrative support to the HR Generalist in areas of benefits, recruitment, onboarding and offboarding, training, and health and safety.

Early Career Environmental Engineers and Scientists
Larry Walker Associates seeks enthusiastic and motivated individuals who aim to grow their experience in surface water, groundwater, wastewater, and stormwater engineering, regulation, and science. The successful candidate will work under senior supervision and alongside professional staff on projects that include: regulatory analysis; quantitative, statistical, and geospatial data analyses; surface and groundwater monitoring and special studies; development of watershed and groundwater management plans and reports; TMDL development, planning, and implementation; wastewater and stormwater NPDES permitting; and salt and nutrient management planning.
The successful candidate will support development, implementation, data analysis, and reporting for a range of field studies to support regulatory requirements and related experimental design. The successful candidate will be trained initially to lead field teams for mobilization in the Sacramento area during three to five storm events per year, and have a willingness to assist or lead a variety of other field studies. Field work would constitute less than 25% of total time, but would require some on-call time on weekends, overnights, and holidays.

A master’s degree from an engineering or science program with an environmental, hydrology, geology, biology, ecology, chemistry, data science, or toxicology emphasis,

A bachelor’s degree from an engineering or science program with an environmental, hydrology, geology, biology, ecology, chemistry, data science, or toxicology emphasis, PLUS a minimum of at least 2 summers of relevant internship experience in water quality, hydrology, and/or engineering.

Minimum Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, or related field; a master’s degree is preferred, but not required;
- Possess a valid license as a Professional Engineer in the State of California (and/or ability to obtain a reciprocal California P.E. license immediately);
