    LWA is currently seeking a full-time (40 hours/week, M-F) detail oriented, technology-savvy, and reliable Accounts Payable (AP)/Accounts Receivable (AR) Manager/Assistant Controller to provide support to our small and productive team of professionals. The position fits someone who is a self-starter able to work independently; a professional who can communicate with staff, management, and interact with clients.

    The AR/AP Manager will work closely with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Controller to accomplish all the financial functions for Larry Walker Associates.  The AR/AP Manager is responsible for production of over 140 complex invoices (with back up); reviewing and approving timesheets and expenses; tracking project finances, certificates of insurance, city taxes, and business licenses; and providing assistance to the CFO and Controller. The position includes opportunities to expand responsibilities depending on expertise.

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Manage the majority of the AR/AP functions of LWA with a primary responsibility for invoicing and all associated activities.
    • Provide support to the CFO and Controller, including but not limited to budget, financial reports, and audits.
    • Establish and/or maintain internal policies and procedures to ensure quality, timeliness, and accuracy of the assigned AR/AP functions.
    • Lead, motivate, and develop the administrative team that supports the invoicing process. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, coordinating, and directing work for administrative staff in coordination with the operations manager.

  • All candidates must be authorized to work in the USA

 Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Five or more years of AR/AP or related finance/accounting experience
  • Notary is a plus
